The Bird with the Best Outfit
Blue Jay didn’t just show up to the party—he arrived.
Denim jeans? Check. Flag-print tee? Obviously. A jacket to pull it all together? Fashion perfection.
When the others saw him strut into the clearing, their jaws dropped—well, as much as forest animals' jaws can drop. Even Raccoon whistled. “Okay, who invited the rock star?”
“I invited me,” said Blue Jay, tossing a wink and heading straight for the snack table.
He didn’t come to just watch fireworks—he came to be one. He led the parade with a pinecone microphone, danced like nobody was judging (even though everyone - especially Grumpy Owl - totally was), and posed for a photo with every creature in the meadow. Secretly, they all loved it. Even Grumpy Owl cracked a smile—which, if you know Grumpy Owl, is basically a standing ovation.
As the fireworks burst into the sky, Blue Jay leaned back in the grass, wings behind his head, tail feathers slightly rumpled—but perfect, obviously.
