Carrot Cruiser – A Springtime Story
Rabbit had promised himself this ride would be different. Slower. Calmer. Maybe even meditative. He took a deep breath, adjusted the basket straps, and pushed off down the trail with the best of intentions. And for a moment—just a moment—it worked. The breeze was soft, the trail was dry, and everything felt... still.
Then he saw the wildflower patch.
Without even thinking, he veered off the path, kicked up a puff of pine needles, and launched himself into what became an enthusiastic, slightly chaotic gathering session. Blossoms here, carrots there (who left those?), a few particularly crunchy leaves he had no use for but collected anyway. By the time he remembered he was supposed to be relaxing, his basket was overflowing and his ears were full of burrs - where did those come from?
He got back on the trail eventually, though now at half-speed and double the bounce.
