Sage and the Sunset Song

Every evening, just before the sun dipped behind the treetops, Sage the Deer would take a little walk to her favorite mossy hill.

She didn’t bring much—just her tiny violin, carved from the fallen branch of a willow tree, and a ribbon to tie her hair back while she played.

Sage didn’t need an audience, but somehow the forest always gathered. Birds settled onto branches. Rabbits curled up in the grass. Even Grumpy Owl would sit quietly up in a tree to listen.
