Frog and the Giant Peas
Frog stood at the edge of the garden, paws on his hips and a serious look on his face. “Today,” he said to no one in particular, “we gather peas. Big ones.”
These weren’t just any peas—they were gigantic. As long as Frog’s whole arm and twice as heavy! He plucked one carefully, then bounced over to his basket and tossed it in with a proud little grunt. “Chef Frog strikes again,” he said.
But after a few more trips, his hops got slower. His arms got tired. And the basket? It was getting very full.
Just then, Rabbit popped up. “Whatcha doin’?”
“Pea gathering,” Frog puffed. “For a Very Important Dinner.”
Rabbit looked at the towering pile of pods. “Need help?”
Frog opened his mouth to say no… but a pea rolled off the top and bonked him on the foot.
“…Maybe.”
Rabbit grinned and grabbed the basket. “I’ll carry. You plan the menu.”
And so they set off down the trail—Frog talking recipes, Rabbit sneaking a snack, and both of them laughing the whole way home.
