Frog’s Fancy Flower Ride
Frog didn’t bounce out of bed. He emerged. Calm. Cool. Ready.
He checked the sky (a little cloudy—perfect). He polished his handlebars (twice). And then he said, “Today is a very fine day for flower finding.”
Frog rode slowly through the forest, looking at everything with his serious little eyes. He passed a patch of daisies. “Too cheerful,” he mumbled. Then some buttercups. “Too yellow.” But just past a twisty tree, he spotted a tiny purple bloom growing beside a rock. He blinked. He nodded. Into the basket it went.
By the time he reached his favorite mossy clearing, his basket held a perfect mix of flowers—just the right shapes, just the right colors, and definitely arranged with flair. He lay down in the grass, hands behind his head, looking proud of himself.
“Refined,” he whispered to the sky. Then he sat up and added, “Next week, I’ll look for texture.”
