Raccoonās Garden Memoirs ā Chapter One: Popcorn & Perfect Evenings
Raccoon had wonĀ the jackpot.
It wasĀ big.Ā It wasĀ golden.Ā It wasĀ practically a trophy.Ā A perfect ear of corn, plucked fresh from the garden, still wrapped in its crisp green husk. Holding it up triumphantly, he let out an excited chitter. Tonightās feast?Ā Legendary.
As dusk settled over the forest, Raccoon made his way to the campfire, where the others were already gatheringāRabbit, Frog, Little Bear, even Crow (who insisted on supervising, hat perfectly tilted). The air smelled of woodsmoke and fresh herbs lie rosemary and basil, and the fire crackled with the promise ofĀ something delicious.
Raccoon wasted no time. He tossed the kernels into the pan, clamped the lid down, and waited.
Pop.
Pop pop pop!
A grin spread across his face as the first fluffy pieces burst to life, filling the air with the warm, buttery scent of victory. Soon, a pile of golden, crunchy perfection sat before them, and the woodland friends wasted no time digging in.
"You really do know how to pick āem,"Ā Rabbit admitted, tossing a kernel into the air and catching it effortlessly.
"Itās a gift,"Ā Raccoon said, puffing up proudly.
And as they sat around the fire, bellies full and laughter echoing through the trees, Raccoon knew one thing for sureāgood food tastes even better when shared with friends.
